Growing up, Ivy was a natural athlete, playing a variety of sports at school and outside of school. However, in 2002, Ivy was faced with a series of personal challenges and health limitations. As a result, she stopped exercising and became inactive. Soon, the petite 30-year-old gained more than 30 lbs but lost her appetite for life.
“I found myself not knowing who I was,” she says about her ordeal. “The first thing I did to change myself is I made a decision to change the way I think, feel and act.
“I decided to stand up for my health and vitality,” she says. “With that, I finally had the courage to rediscover and reinvent myself.”
Though she had always been active, Ivy found that this time around, she needed something more to encourage her commitment to herself. She hired a personal trainer and learned all that she could about the benefits of proper nutrition and regular exercise.
Since embarking on her adventure, she lost all of the excess weight and never put it back on.
The experience has had an enormous impact on her spirit. Since conquering her challenge, Ivy has made a new commitment to helping others reach their fitness goals.
That’s why she started iPower Training, to give others a second chance at life.
“I share my story because I have a personal connection with people who are struggling with weight loss,” she says. “This isn’t just about looking good, It’s about personal development.”
